Iceland: The Land of Fire & Ice

Updated: Aug 29, 2018

Matt and I went to Iceland and London to celebrate my graduation in May. After a few days in London, we landed in Iceland ready for an adventure. I don’t know about you, but in the last several years I’ve seen some insane pictures from Iceland and have thought, “I’ve got to go!” There are active volcanoes, geothermal activity, glaciers, waterfalls… it’s intense. So when this deal came up, we jumped on it pretty quickly. We’ll talk about our flights in the next post. From there, we rented a car (first time doing that for us both since we are 20), moved into our Airbnb, and got ready for some road trips to follow. During our stay we went to the Blue Lagoon, went horse back riding through the lava fields, saw the Glacier Lagoon, experienced geysers, and saw so many waterfalls you couldn’t even imagine. Our next posts will cover the details about our flights, Airbnb, car, and the best deals on food and activities. So if you are planning a trip to Iceland, hope to plan a trip to Iceland, or just dream about Iceland, maybe these tips and tricks will interest you.
